Ubiedrze is a quiet village with its own council (sołectwo) in gmina Bobolice (municipality), with approx. 90-100 inhabitants. The plot lies on the edge of the village: the village buildings stand on the other side of the road. The bus stop is approx. 350 m from the plot, the nearest shop approx. 3.5 km, and full facilities (schools, shops, offices) are in Bobolice. The long history of the place is attested by an Iron Age hillfort, entered in the register of monuments as early as 1968. There is also a trout farm in the village, drawing water from the Chociel, which speaks well of the cleanliness of the river.

Recreation:

Near Ubiedrze the Chociel valley narrows into a small basin: on its gentle slope, parallel to the river, a belt of small lakes and moss peat bogs stretches for approx. 2 km, and the nearest small lake lies approx. 900 m from the plot. Below the village the valley forms a gorge more than 30 m deep and joins the Radew valley. The area is part of the Natura 2000 site Dolina Radwi, Chocieli i Chotli, and upstream, between Porost and Bobolice, the nature and landscape complex Dolina rzeki Chocieli is protected. Through the neighbouring Kurowo and Kępiste runs the green Szlak Doliny Radwi (Radew Valley Trail, 35 km from Polanów to Mostowo), leading among others to the Kamienne Kręgi archaeological reserve in Grzybnica. The nearest way to the sea is to Mielno, approx. 50 km by road.
