Location and access:

Świecie Kołobrzeskie lies approx. 5 km west of Siemyśl, at a junction of local roads from Białokury, Starnin and Byszewo. The S6 expressway Szczecin-Koszalin runs through the western part of the municipality, with the nearest junctions at Kiełpino and Kołobrzeg Zachód. Village and surroundings:

Świecie Kołobrzeskie is a small village with its own council (sołectwo, approx. 130 inhabitants), with a history reaching back to 1224, when, as Szwetie, it passed to the estates of the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) convent of Białoboki near Trzebiatów. On site there is a village hall, a volunteer fire brigade unit and agritourism farms; the nearest shop and school are approx. 4 km from the plots, while the offices and a fuller range of services are in Siemyśl. All around are open fields and meadows with clumps of trees, the typical landscape of the Równina Gryficka (Gryfice Plain). North of the village the Lnianka stream flows into the Dębosznica, a river running through a peaty valley towards Lake Resko Przymorskie.

Recreation:

Approx. 57 km of asphalt cycling routes have been laid along the embankments of a former narrow-gauge railway in the surrounding municipalities; the section in gmina Siemyśl runs through Charzyno to the Kołobrzeg-Trzebiatów road. In the eastern part of the municipality lies the glacial channel lake Kamienica (approx. 66 ha) with a beach in Dargocice. The nearest way to the sea is to the beach in Mrzeżyno at the mouth of the Rega, approx. 20 km by road; the spa town of Kołobrzeg with its beaches and pier is approx. 17 km from the plots. In the neighbouring villages there are historic churches, among them the Romanesque field-stone church in Unieradz (13th century).
