The primary school (a branch of the Zespół Szkół Publicznych public school in Polanów) is in neighbouring Nacław, approx. 3.3 km away, and the parish church in neighbouring Bukowo. The full range of offices and services is in Polanów; Koszalin, with its universities and voivodeship hospital, is approx. 30 km from here.

Recreation:

The surroundings are the Wysoczyzna Polanowska (the Polanów upland): a hilly landscape of fields and forests, which cover 52% of the municipality's area, and 34 lakes. The nearest large lake, Nicemino (approx. 105 ha, water of purity class II), lies approx. 7.5 km to the south-west in a straight line. A hallmark of the area are the beech avenues from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries with the status of natural monuments, among them the one along the road to Koszalin between Jacinki and Nacław. On the river Grabowa a kayaking route has been marked out from the area of Polanów to Buszyno, and just beyond Polanów rises Święta Góra Polanowska (the Holy Mountain of Polanów, 155.2 m above sea level) with a Franciscan hermitage, a stop on the Pomorska Droga św. Jakuba (the Pomeranian Way of St James). The nearest point on the sea is Darłówko (approx. 40 km): a port, a lighthouse from 1885, a retractable bridge and the eastern and western beaches.
