Village and surroundings:

Kłanino is one of the larger villages in gmina Bobolice (municipality), with approx. 550 inhabitants. On site there is the Jan Brzechwa primary school (approx. 700 m from the plot), a shop (approx. 240 m), a village community hall and a volunteer fire brigade unit operating since 1946 and part of the national rescue and firefighting system since 2002. The village is the seat of a parish with the historic half-timbered church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and on the escarpment above the fields stands the neo-baroque manor house of the von Hellermann family from 1920, surrounded by a historic park from the 19th century. Full urban facilities are in Bobolice, while Koszalin has universities and a voivodeship hospital.

Recreation:

The immediate surroundings are farmland and forests, with gently undulating terrain. A few kilometres towards Koszalin, in the forest beyond Grzybnica, lies the Kamienne Kręgi (Stone Circles) archaeological reserve, a Goth burial ground from the 1st-2nd century AD, reached by green hiking and cycling trails. The valley of the nearby Radew is covered by a Natura 2000 site, a canoe route runs along the river from Żydowo through Mostowo and the Rosnowski and Hajka reservoirs to Karlino, and both reservoirs are water bodies popular with anglers. The Baltic beaches in Mielno are approx. 45 km by road.
