Description

Building plot for sale, 12 672 m² (1.27 ha), in the village of Breń, approx. 5.5 km from Bierzwnik, in powiat choszczeński (Choszczno county), West Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-western Poland. The site is flat and open, roughly square in shape (approx. 124 × 138 m), with a zoning decision (Polish 'warunki zabudowy', WZ) issued for a single-family house. It is a corner plot: it lies in the fork of two asphalt roads, and along one of them grows an avenue of old trees. The surrounding area is the Dobiegniew Lakeland (Pojezierze Dobiegniewskie) and the forests of Puszcza Drawska; the municipality itself has 42 lakes.

Location and access:

Breń lies between Bierzwnik and Wygon, right by Lake Breń. The plot can be reached on asphalt from two sides, and the road running along the plot is lit. In Bierzwnik there is a railway station on line 351 Poznań - Szczecin, with trains towards Choszczno, Stargard and Szczecin as well as Krzyż. Voivodeship road no. 160 runs through the municipality and takes you to Choszczno and Dobiegniew, where it crosses national road 22.

Village and surroundings:

Breń is one of the larger villages of gmina Bierzwnik (municipality), with approx. 560 inhabitants, of medieval origin and connected with the former Cistercian abbey in Bierzwnik; from 1660 to 1818 a glassworks operated here. On site there are the parish church of St Joseph, a village community hall, a branch of the library and a post office agency, while chain supermarkets are in Bierzwnik. The plot itself borders a well-kept farmstead, and beyond it is surrounded by fields, meadows and mid-field tree stands.

Recreation:

The village buildings begin approx. 300 m from Lake Breń (29 ha), and approx. 2 km to the north lies Lake Przytoczno, the largest in the municipality (222 ha, firm sandy bottom), with the Łasko nature reserve on its peninsula, a former breeding colony of grey herons, and a camping site reached by a road from the village of Łasko. All around are the pine forests of Puszcza Drawska with the rivers Drawa and Płociczna, and the north-eastern corner of the municipality reaches Drawieński Park Narodowy (Drawa National Park). The area is covered by the Natura 2000 site Lasy Puszczy nad Drawą. In Bierzwnik it is worth seeing the former Cistercian complex on Lake Kuchta with its Gothic church, founded in 1286.
