Description

Building plot for sale, 4 817 m², in the village of Żeleźno, 11 km from Białogard, in powiat białogardzki (Białogard county), West Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-western Poland. An even, open meadow, roughly rectangular in shape (approx. 62 × 91 m), with a zoning decision (Polish 'warunki zabudowy', WZ) issued for a single-family house. In the immediate neighbourhood there is only one homestead, and beyond it fields, pastures and a wall of forest right to the horizon.

Location and access:

Żeleźno lies to the north-east of Białogard, between Kościernica and Białogórzyno. Access from the town runs along the county road through Kościernica (the Białogard-Kościernica section was rebuilt in 2021), and in 2023-2024 the municipal road Pustkowo-Żeleźno was also rebuilt at a cost of 6 million zloty. There is a bus stop in the village, and approx. 3 km west of the village the Kościernica railway halt on the Białogard-Koszalin line. By car it is approx. 19 km to Koszalin, and from there you join the S6 expressway towards the Tricity and Szczecin.

Village and surroundings:

Żeleźno is a quiet village with its own council (sołectwo) in gmina Białogard (municipality), with just under 200 inhabitants, its origins going back to the 16th century, set among fields and meadows. There is a village community hall on site, the nearest shop is approx. 2 km away and a school approx. 4 km. A small lake lies approx. 400 m from the plot. The parish church, half-timbered and dating from 1838, stands in neighbouring Białogórzyno. Full facilities (a county hospital, schools, offices) are in Białogard.

Recreation:

Just beyond Białogórzyno flows the Radew, the longest tributary of the Parsęta. Its valley is the Natura 2000 site "Dolina Radwi, Chocieli i Chotli", a refuge for the grey heron and the mute swan, among other species. The rivers of the region are clean and attractive for anglers (sea trout, grayling, trout), and canoe routes run along the Parsęta, including the popular Białogard-Karlino section. The surrounding forest complexes abound in mushrooms and berries. The nearest seaside is Mielno, approx. 25 km away.
