The site is approx. 125 m long and up to approx. 71 m wide, narrowing towards the west, and has an issued zoning decision (Polish 'warunki zabudowy', WZ) for residential development. The eastern part of the plot is wooded (Lz-RIVb land), the rest is open green land on arable soil of classes RIVb and RV. Around it are fields and meadows with clumps of trees, and on the other side of the road the scattered farmsteads of the village.

Location and access:

Mieszałki lies approx. 6 km north of Grzmiąca, the seat of the municipality, on a chain of county roads towards Wielanowo and Krosino. Grzmiąca has an operating station on the electrified railway line no. 404 Szczecinek - Kołobrzeg, with trains both to Szczecinek and to the seaside at Kołobrzeg. By car it is approx. 26 km to Szczecinek; the town has a bypass forming part of the S11 expressway and a railway junction with direct trains to Poznań and Kołobrzeg, among other destinations. Village and surroundings:

Mieszałki is a village with its own council (sołectwo) with approx. 230 inhabitants, whose history goes back to the former Grünewald. The village has the neo-Gothic church of St Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, from 1884-1885, a village community hall and bus stops. The primary school and the municipal office are in Grzmiąca, and the full facilities (schools, clinics, offices, a hospital with an emergency department) are in Szczecinek. Forests cover approx. 35% of the municipality's area and abound in bilberries and mushrooms; a forest complex begins just south-west of the plot.

Recreation:

The municipality lies in the catchment of the Parsęta, a river with a natural, meandering channel valued by anglers; the valley of its tributary, the Perznica, is also of high natural value, and the Natura 2000 bird site Ostoja Drawska has been designated in the area around the village. Szczecinek has Lake Trzesiecko with a town park, a promenade and a pier, seasonal bathing areas, a water tram (passenger boat) and a cable water-ski lift, one of the longest in Europe; a marked cycling route of 14.5 km runs around the lake. Beyond Barwice (approx. 16 km) begins the Pojezierze Drawskie lake district with Lake Drawsko, the second deepest in Poland, the Drawski Park Krajobrazowy landscape park and the spa town of Połczyn-Zdrój with its historic spa park.
